Update from Tasha :)

God is so Amazing; I just can’t say it enough! I wish you all could be on tour with us to see how God has been blowing our minds on a daily basis.
SO big news. God has called me to go full time as a missionary with Redeem the Shadows! I know right!!!! I'm gonna be a missionary full time. He has also called me to head up their prayer team! I will be praying night and day for these victims. Just tonight I asked God where he wanted me to intercede in prayer and Sarasota, FL popped into my head through the Holy Spirit. So I prayed for them and then googled it and turns out that their is a trafficking coalition that we can connect with their to fight human trafficking with. I will also be connecting with prayer houses, churches, and just people to pray with us. I will be the prayer support for our team for their personal needs. I will be sending them encouraging messages. The Lord has been equiping me how to pray and fight spiritual warfare. Boy is the enemy attacking us on this tour, but God is prevailing b/c no weapon formed against us shall remain. I am in the process of putting together a full time prayer & worship team. Please contact me if the Lord is laying this on your heart! Man I can't wait to share more as God shows me what he wants me to do for His kingdom with this calling!!!!
1. PROVISION
We have not slept in the car one night on tour
We have been provided meals everyday
We have been blessed with funds to fix our vehicle multiple times (just last night we went to a church and unexpectedly spoke and then they raised 1,000 dollars for our team. They didn’t know that our team was out of money and that we would have a big bill to pay for the next day to put new tires on our van)
2. CONNECTIONS
We got to sit down with a wonderful lady who prepares presentations for google and Apple. She blessed us with her time and created a clear vision on where Redeem The Shadows is heading. We are so excited to share our new vision with you which will be in the next bullet.
We have connected to church planters all across Seattle, WA There was one church in particular who’s heart is to fight human trafficking!
We had the privilege of connecting to Bethal University in California. Our team met with the head of their justice department and healing ministries. While we were at Bethal God awakened Anna’s call to go over to London to work on a campaign to raise awareness for the trafficking that will be going on at the Olympics. We made a major connection at Bethal that has a huge connection in London that will equip Anna to raise up a team and connect with the necessary people in London for this vision! (see anna for more details)
Tomorrow morning we will be on Moody’s Radio Station. ( you can check it out online at http://www.moodyradionorthwest.fm/
3. VISION
Our new vision is to inspire the body of Christ to use all their resources in their church body within their community to start their own rehabilitation home. We want to use the rehabilitation home that we are starting in California as the model of churches to adapt to start their own within their community. We are so excited for this new vision.
Our new 4 quadrant Model which noel will be writing with some more detail is below
commUNITY :
Awareness, Prevention, Rescue, Rehabilitation
We have so much more to share with you and can’t wait to tell you the new vision God has put on our hearts!

PRAYER FOR A VEHICLE

I HAVE A HUGE PRAYER REQUEST. So, the enemy decided he would like to pull out an old trick and destroy our van. We were half way up a mountain yesterday when our van decided it would go no further. The transmission blew, but we are learning to have JOY and praise the Lord even more in our situation.
We are stuck in Denver at the most beautiful artistic guest house. We got hooked up through this site called Ryfo that houses Christian music artists and we are their first exception to add to the site as missionaries. So, we get to stay in these sweet homes all around the USA.
Guess what else I'm going to be speaking at my college (Dordt) April 7 WAHOO!!
Also, I was so excited I got to have lunch with a college friend this week.
So please pray for funds and a new vehicle b/c it cost 1,500 to 3,500 to fix our current van.
Oh, and you know the artist David Crowder? well we had lunch with his brother today and met Gungors drummer last week.
so many awesome crazy stories.
Love you guys!
God is good all the time!

Continually Blessed

In the last week we have traveled from Dallas San Antonio Texas to Oklahoma. Today will be our longest drive all the way to Colorado Springs.
While we were in Texas we visited the Alamo and Noels Aunt who provided us a lovely place to sleep. In Texas we connected with the Organization "Trade in Hope” We also got an interview with a lady that was sold by her parents as a prostitute when she was 15 to government officials. She talked with us about the healing process and the forgiveness process. She said it's only through Gods grace that he redeemed her. There is a documentary coming out about her life soon!
God has been continually blessing us with speaking engagements and places to rest our heads. Yesterday, I was extremely grateful I was able to sleep all day since I had a fever in the FLU. I took a Nyquil and I was out all day. I only woke up to transport myself to the bed and I woke up for dinner. LOL Today I feel much better thanks to everyone praying for me. Now I just need to get rid of my cough.
Lessons of the week.
-God is with me wherever I go and I never have to feel alone at any point on this trip.
-the enemy is at war with our group and we must pray to stand firm against the enemy and keep the unity of our team
-Love others even when you don't feel loved back
Fun Facts of the week
-For valentine’s day:
Julia and I went to Cracker Barrel
Then Jesus sent me a beautiful Pink Sunset
Then we went to an amazing Coffee house that had an awesome concert
Then a puppy gave me sweet kisses to end the night
-Noel thinks he has found my husband in each city until he finds out they are not single or to young. lol
-I ate the more Mexican food in 1 week than I have eaten in a lifetime
-I found out that not everyone likes to hug me back. Though, Julia my teammate who fits this mold gave me a gift this morning. She gave me 4 free passes to hug her for the trip. LOL
I'm going to attach some photos of the last week.
Blessing

TRAFFICKING IN TEXAS

http://vimeo.com/19718607
copy this link and check it out. it's a small clip from my tour
I'm in Texas now. God is doing big things.
Noel went undercover as a band manager into these store fronts that were disguised as "massage parlors" Actually he went into one place in a strip mall called "7th Heaven" When he walked in the doors 3 girls lined up in front of him. He said they looked drugged. bruised. dirty. and he said they were all staring at their feet. He was shocked and called the human trafficking hotline as soon as he saw this. This building was not hiding but right out in the open 3 miles from where we were sleeping in a good area of town. After I saw this was happening 1st hand my heart stirred with a righteous anger. I could not believe this was happening and nothing was being done about it. Their were parlors like this on every street corner. Why aren't authorties taken more action I thought. It turns out some of the cops are using this business themsevles quotes a church in the area. Also, the cops say they have no where to put the girls and when they do take the girls in for questioning they ask them for their massage licence instead of asking them for their passports. Most of the time the cops will charge the girls $300 and then the pimps will come and pay for the fine and then take the girls right back into prostitution. The hard part is some of the girls don't know they are in bondage. They think they came to america and now these men say they are in debt to them. So, they tell the girls the only way to pay of the debt is to be a prostitute for them. It makes me sick what is happening. Housten Texas is one of the biggest areas for this and we need to take a stand and make this injustice stop now. We also need to pray bigtime for this spiritual warefar that is happening!

three miles away from where I am sleeping
there are brothels in Houston three miles away from where I am sleeping tonight filled with women that are there against their will...slavery exists in America. I'm so angry right now that the cops are not doing anything about this. I never thought America's government would be so corrupt. These girls right now are at undercover "massage and nail places" When the cops come they fine the girls for not having business licence for that store. The pimps pay for the girls fine and then the girls are forced right back into prostitution. We drove up to a store front tonight where it was happening and I just got so Angry i wanted to go and bust down the door myself. Everyone needs to start writing letters to people in power that can stop this! And I need you to pray that the highest man in power "God" would help us put and end this this corruption. we are going undercover tomorrow to film these places.

God is Near

I found you learn so much about yourself when you go on a mission trip. I also learned then when you do great things for God the enemy likes to attack. This week has personally for me has been about quieting myself before God to redirect my heart to his calling for me on this trip.
Two of my beloved sister spoke the same verse over me Ephesians 1:17-23 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe......
I pray every day that the Lord would give me wisdom and revelation to hear Him clearly! I need prayer when times are tough that the Lord would reveal to me the hope to where He has called me and is calling me. God is hope! God is glorious and His plan is perfect.
Well the last couple weeks we have ventured to Alabama, mississippi, and now we are in TEXAS. God blessed us once again with some resting time at this beautiful cabin in Alabama. Where we went fishing and biking. I'll includes some pictures from that.
We have been speaking at churches and colleges. I was blown away how God was working at Mississippi college. He never ceases to amaze me. So many students came up to us wanting to get involved saying this is what the Lord has laid on their hearts to do the rest of their life. I even heard a story where a girls friend was kidnapped and forced into sex slavery. When she was rescued after 2 years her parents (who were high society people) recjected her as their own daughter b/c they didn't believe that there is forced sex prostituion. This sickened my heart.
God is moving. satan is attacking. but God is more powerful. and mighty is my God in whom I place my trust!
blessing!

To spend my hours with
Last night we worshiped with Chris Tomlin and Christy Nockels at Passion City Church in Atlanta! ♥ God spoke to our hearts through the speaker so clearly. He had us think about what we spend time doing and then he said normally what you spend your time doing you talk and think about. If I'm wasting 5 hours on e-mail, my phone, facebook, tv and so forth thats what I'm going to talk about. What if we spent that time instead reading the word for 5 hours or pray for 5 hours. What would our thoughts and daily conversations look like with people. It's my desire to share Gods love and his desire for us to be his children in his kingdom. Though, if my thoughts are fixed on other things I will less likely to bring up God in my conversations or even think about him in my mind. It's my challenge for myself and you to think about what we are doing and thinking throughout our day.
Second, I just have to say that my God is soooo big. We just picked up our new team member Julia and the couple that she is staying with is connecting us with so many leaders and maybe a future team member for this trip. One of the connections is 12 stone church in georgia. God is doing some big things. I can't describe them to you adequately. When God wants something to happen he makes it happen.
Also, God has been providing my team with amazing hospitality. Not only are they providing us hospitality, but such Godly wisdom along the way. I am so excited for the adventure ahead that God has in store for our hearts!

We are in Georgia
Can I tell you I have fallen in love with Savannah Georgia! I don't think I have ever maveled over a place so much! Yesterday, we met up with a group for Savannah College of Art and Design. It was so awesome to see how the Lord connected us with them and their hearts for the issue of human trafficking! God amazes me so much!
After we met up with them we went to this fun restraunt with our new friend william. After lunch we walked around downtown Savannah. We went in this amazing shop I think called Paris Market. My eyes lit up in there with all the vintage finds. Especially with a whole display of old fashioned cameras. The scenery was just beautiful! We also went to a beautiful park. I wish I could be here this summer to read a book in the park or ride my bike around. Who knows maybe I'll move here :) Life is great and my God is Glorious!

The Lord Moves!

The Lord allowed us to move North today! Just a couple more days and we will be out of Florida. :) We traveled to Gainesville to speak at the University of Florida today. We set up our materials in a beautiful park on campus today called plaza of the Americas. Our hearts were so expectant to see how God was going to move throughout the day. We were able to connect with a (student) journalist who interviewed us, a leader of campus crusade, and a many students who had no idea that this was an issue in the United States. It's so awesome to see the way God moves. We were even blessed to stay with a group called Studio 31:8 who recently provided their artwork for our auction in December. Tomorrow we will head to UNF in Jacksonville. We are so excited to see all the ways God is going to move tomorrow and the rest of the trip.
To God I give all the glory and praise for the ways he moves our hearts!

Praise the Lord for our vehicle!
Praise the Lord! We just got a call that Noel's family friend is letting us borrow their vehicle for 3 months! My God is bigger than any ways satan tries to hault our mission trip! I'm so glad this happened b/c it allowed us to take a step back as to why we are going on this trip. This trial made us put all our trust in the Lord and remember that we must fix our eyes on him first throughout this trip! My God is so aMaZiNg! He is so faithful! I love my God and this verse Romans 1:17
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
If we are Gods children than as it is written we shall live by faith!

Having Joy in the Trials
Speaking in lakeland was awesome this week! We spoke to a youth group and it was awesome to see how they responded. While we were heading up to Lakeland our mechanic called and told us that our engine blew on our van. Right now my team and I are back in Stuart trying to figure out our van situation. It seems like we have been getting hit with a lot of trials lately, which means we must be doing something right if the enemy is attacking us.
James 1:2-7 says:
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
We are totally put our trust in God on this trial. There is nothing we can do to fix the issue, but God is wiser than us and totally has his hand in the situation. If we don't find a car soon then we will drastically downsize and take Noel car.
Keep praying for us!
Love you guys!

RTS JOURNEY WEEK 1
Hi guys! God has been doing amazing things this week! I just jumped on tour this week with Redeem the Shadows. Sunday I had my first speaking engagement. I would not call myself a public speaker, but I know that where I am weak God is strong. It was so amazing to see him speak threw me. Normally my heart is pounding and I freeze on what to say, but I gave my speech to him and he provided me words as I knew he would.
Today is national human trafficking awareness day so Anna and I drove south to speak at FAU. God really moved on the campus there! So, many people were unaware that this happened and were really thankful we educated them.
Right now Redeem The Shadows is going threw it's first trial. Our van is in the shop because there is a leak somewhere.. where we don't know. but we ask you to pray with us and speak life over our van in Jesus name!
I'm so excited to start traveling north and seeing all God has in store!
check out our new website at
www.redeemtheshadows.org
and below I am attaching our tour route. let us know if you have friends in the area where we could rest our speak.
God bless!
